A Foundation for Success

What sets Brownell Talbot apart is our commitment to providing an education that goes beyond the classroom. Our Upper School program is built on four key pillars:

1.      Exceptional Faculty: Our teachers are leaders in their fields, bringing passion, expertise, and a dedication to student success.

2.      Globally Focused Academics: A rigorous curriculum prepares students to think critically and engage with the world around them.

3.      Superior College Placements: With a strong track record of college admissions, our students are well-prepared for the next step in their academic journey.

4.      Robust Athletics, Arts, and Activities: From sports to the arts, students have countless opportunities to explore their passions and develop new skills.

Taking Ownership of Your Future

At Brownell Talbot, we believe in empowering students to take charge of their education. Our hands-on, one-on-one approach ensures that every student receives the support they need to succeed. Whether it’s through personalized academic guidance, mentorship, or leadership opportunities, we help students build a strong foundation for lifelong success.

The House System: Building Community and Spirit

One of the unique features of our Upper School is the House System. Designed to foster closer relationships and school spirit, this system divides students into Houses, each led by a senior House Leader and guided by a faculty House Dean. Through participation in contests, service projects, and the annual House Olympics, students earn points for their House, culminating in the awarding of the prestigious House Cup at the end of the year.

Expanding Horizons with Malone Schools Online Network

For students seeking additional academic challenges, Brownell Talbot is proud to partner with the Malone Schools Online Network (MSON). This program offers advanced online courses taught by expert educators, allowing students to explore specialized topics and engage in virtual discussions with peers from other independent schools.

Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment

For those aiming to gain a head start on college, we offer 16 Advanced Placement (AP) courses across subjects like English, world languages, fine arts, history, mathematics, and science. With 82% of our students scoring a 3 or higher on AP exams, our program is a testament to the dedication and talent of our students and faculty. Additionally, Upper School students can earn college credit through dual enrollment programs with the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Nebraska Wesleyan University.

College Counseling: A Personalized Approach

Our College Counseling Department is dedicated to helping students find the right fit for their future. With over 100 hours of individualized counseling, students embark on a journey of self-discovery and exploration, ensuring they apply to colleges that align with their goals and aspirations.

A Community of Belonging

At Brownell Talbot, we believe that education is about more than academics—it’s about creating a sense of belonging. Our Upper School students are part of a close-knit community where they are encouraged to grow, lead, and make a difference.
